The pool facilities include a 50 metre olympic pool, a baby wading pool, waterslide and the Ocean Challenge inflatable. A kiosk is available for light refreshments and there are BBQs available for pool patrons.
True Blue Mining Poppet Head - Newell Highway, Wyalong
An authentic replica mining poppet head and miners hut located in bushland setting at Cooinda Park on the Newell Highway. The mine was established in 1894 with a battery and treatment works and ultimately yielded 40 kg of gold.
Douglas DC3 Dakota - Lions Park, Newell Highway, West Wyalong
Built in 1943 in Oklahoma city, the plane was donated to the West Wyalong Lions Club who made it a feature in their park on the Newell Highway.
This is world class attraction has arguably the finest collection in the world of flying historic aircraft. Visitors can enjoy seeing the aircraft up close in the theatrical lit Display Hangar. DVD footage tells the history of the aircraft. Static displays and colorful story boards are presented in the barracks building for your enjoyment. Picnic area and children's playground are set in landscaped gardens. The Gift Shop has that special souvenir or gift you are looking for!
The museum is located at 29 Goldfields Way, one kilometre south of the Temora Post Office. Macauley Street offers ample parking for caravans.
The museum hosts the Temora Community Archive. The extensive collection of local government, community and family records is available to the public for historical and family research.
2.00 pm to 5.00pm, seven days per week. Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday. Group bookings by arrangement, from 9.00 am daily.
